MaraPowersCoaching

I am a sounding board for women and men of all ages who want to connect, find their focus, and take a meaningful next step toward an improved mindset.

Bring the situation as it really is: a decision that keeps looping, a goal that keeps slipping, a change you can picture but cannot quite start. I listen closely, reflect back what I hear underneath the noise, and ask the questions that help you hear yourself clearly.

Clear

Real conversations that cut through the noise.

Grounded

Practical tools you can use in everyday life.

Confident

Trust in what you think, what you say, and what you choose next.

About Mara

Since 2021, I’ve been devoted to one question: how do we optimize the way we think to live a happier, more fulfilled life?

What began as a personal pursuit became a discipline. I spent much of my free time immersed in the literature and practices of mindset and neuroscience, and what I learned changed how I approach my own life. Mara Powers Coaching is how I share it: distilled, practical, and made for real life.

My clients are women and men of all ages. My role is to be a sounding board: someone to think out loud with as you connect the dots, find your focus, and decide on meaningful next steps toward an improved mindset.

I coach because I know from experience that choosing a new way of operating, rebuilding self-trust, and getting clear on what you truly want is both possible and essential. My coaching brings mindset, self-awareness, and accessible neuroscience into the ordinary moments where a life takes shape.

Client testimonials

What clients say after the work begins.

“She helped me narrow my focus to the goals that truly matter.”

“Mara is an excellent life coach and I can’t recommend her enough. Working with Mara has been such a positive experience. She helped me narrow my focus to the goals that truly matter, and then guided me through the steps to start achieving them. One of the most valuable things I’ve learned from her is how to reframe my thinking in a more positive way and to recognize and celebrate the small, incremental wins along the journey. That shift in perspective has made such a difference for me, both in my mindset and in the progress I’ve been able to make. I’m so grateful for her thoughtful coaching and the encouragement, clarity and support she provided every step of the way!”

She is so easy to talk to and created a space where I felt truly understood. I also loved how our coaching complemented my therapy work, which made the whole experience even more impactful. I walked away from our sessions feeling energized, motivated, and equipped to move toward my goals with confidence.”

“She helped me recognize things about myself I hadn’t even realized were holding me back”

“Working with Mara Powers was an incredibly meaningful experience. She helped me recognize things about myself I hadn’t even realized were holding me back, from how I manage my time and prioritize what matters most to understanding the deeper motivations behind my drive to succeed.

Mara was always engaged, thoughtful, and proactive, creating a safe space to be vulnerable and challenge my own assumptions. What I appreciated most was how genuinely invested she was in me. In a surprisingly short time, she helped me gain a deeper understanding of myself and greater clarity about what truly matters. I’m incredibly grateful for the impact she’s had on my life.”

Self-paced course

Just One Thing

Pick one thing you are struggling with, and give it seven days of honest attention.

Just One Thing is a self-paced, seven day workbook course for the decision, habit, or change that keeps looping in your mind. Instead of trying to fix everything at once, you choose a single focus and think it through in your own words, one day at a time.

Each day takes about 10 to 15 minutes. You read one short lesson, answer one honest prompt, and take one small action. By the end of the week, you leave with a clearer direction and meaningful next steps you chose on purpose.

By day seven

You look back across the week, name the direction that fits, and leave with meaningful next steps to move toward it.

Frequently asked questions

Coaching FAQs

01Is this therapy?

No. I am a mindset coach, not a therapist, and coaching is not medical care or psychotherapy. Our work focuses on where you are now, the patterns in your thinking, and the next step you want to take. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Many of my clients find that coaching and therapy work well side by side, and if something comes up that belongs in therapy, I will say so honestly.

02How is this different from just talking to a friend?

A good friend listens, and that matters. When we talk, I am not inside your story with you. I listen for the pattern underneath what you are saying, reflect it back, and ask the questions a friend might not think to ask. You leave with a clearer read on your own thinking and a next step you chose on purpose, not just a conversation that felt good for an evening.

03What happens on the free clarity call?

We spend 30 minutes on whatever is loudest in your mind right now. You talk it through out loud, I ask questions and reflect back what I hear underneath the noise, and together we sort it into one clear focus. You leave with a direction and one meaningful next step, whether or not we ever work together again.

04What happens after the call?

That is entirely up to you. Some people take their next step and check in with me later. Others decide ongoing coaching would help, and we talk through what that could look like. There is no pressure and no obligation. The call is designed to be useful on its own.

05How much does ongoing coaching cost?

I do not list a set price here, because the right level of support looks different for each person. Pricing is discussed on the clarity call, based on what would help you most. You will always know the full cost before you decide anything, and you are free to take time to think it over.
